History:
Xerxes was born at the same time as a few other siblings. They were around 5 to hatch, and some had already been claimed by egg thieves or by nature itself. As a little ekans just out of it's egg, Xerxes was greeted by his mother who at that time was an ex-Scout, a very sneaky lady that taught him a lot about how to avoid detection. She also showed him how to track.
Most of his ekans brothers and sisters wanted to be a scout like their arbok mom, mostly because they were light purple like her, and therefor easier to spot in the dark. Xerxes however had gotten a much darker purple color from his dad who was a Seviper, and he was working as nothing other than an assassin.
It took many hard years of training to reach a high enough level to actually be able to call himself an assassin. His dad didn't go nice on him just because it was his son. " When we are training, I am not your father anymore " he used to say, and it did help Xerxes to become as skilled as he is today. All the training wouldn't have given him anything if he kept going easy because he didn't want to hurt his dad.
As he got into his last years of training, he joined his father on missions to kill, and he loved the rush he got from it. Though, it wasn't until he was 19 and finally on his own mission that he evolved into an arbok. That really gave a boost to his egoistic side, making him feel unbeatable. After he evolved he left his family to go live alone. Becoming an arbok did pretty much go to his head.
Xerxes' family have since the day of Ho-Oh's return, been on the Furia side. Some have believed in his words and longed for a better world, some enjoy the bloody life of an assassin a bit too much. The kids growing up in the family have been told stories of those of Calmare to make the belief in Furia much stronger.

Personality:
A sneaky bastard, someone not to be fully trusted. He would say he is allergic to being nice, since doing good things makes him feel bad. Though, some shiny jewelry will always cheer him up.
Xerxes do enjoy the darkness, and hiding in caves and trees is his little specialty. Being the poisonous snake he is, he have specialized in what comes easy to him, and that is killing. Usually his style would be slow and painful, coiling his long body around his victim, giving the last hug you'll ever get.
Some may ask him if he feels bad for taking the lives of others, and why he didn't choose to do something else with his life. Murdering others cause he can, and feeling the excitement of hunting down pray more deadly than his own food.. no, he wouldn't do any other thing.
Vengeful as a normal arbok, with teeth filled with poison, a hood with markings to intimidate anyone, and a body that can regenerate itself and crush steel.. yeah, he is pretty sure about himself, and he don't have anything against showing that to anyone.

Psychic and ground types are the weaknesses Xerxes have to live with, and he will usually do anything he can not to go up against these. Being beaten, humiliated or looked down at because of his weaknesses is a fear that he hides behind a pokerface, or just simple rage. He has the tendencies of not enjoying teamwork and will usually go "hunting" alone, even if he would be up against more people. As long as he doesn't need to deal with psychic and ground, he easily overestimates himself, and yeah.. that regenerating power comes to good use sometimes.
Something else Xerxes just can't handle, is cold. He hates the cold, he despises it with passion. The sun though, and heat, he loves it. If the sun is shining and he has no work to do, he will usually just curl up somewhere, on a roof or in a tree, just to heat himself up.
As a type of fighter, he is working as an assassin for a reason. Being the one to sneak silently up on his victims and doing a quick kill, or at least going for the element of surprise, that's his chosen way of fighting. Close combat is not his strong side, with legs or without. Using dig is a pretty nice escaperoute to get out of that.

Ability: Intimidate Lowers the foe's attack
Moveset:
Acid Spray Spits/ sprays acid poison at the foe like a spitting cobra. This reduces the foe's special defence.
Crunch Bites the foe with crunching power. May lower the foe's special defence.
Dig Hides underground and attacks by searching out the vibrations the foe is making
Coil Curls together like a snake on the defence, ready to attack. This raises it's attack, defense and accuracy.

Sub-Class: Assassin

Additional Info:
Can grow legs at will when that is needed. Takes a little while, but makes him faster, but looses the usual crushing power he has in his body
His bite is poisonus.
Whenever he talks he is pretty heavy on the S'es.
As some nice abilities of an Arbok, he can stay under water for longer periods of time. His body has the power to regenerate as long as his head is still intact, and he can also feel vibrations in the ground.
The markings on an arbok's "hood" can give it a boost in power, or make it immune to certain status problems. The markings on Xerxes' boosts his speed as long as the markings are not covered.

Holy snakes, badass arbok is badass!!

I'm... A little speechless about this one. Let me just say that you really know your way around a paint program. This guy looks quite literally wicked, and I'm loving every expertly-shaded inch of this pokémon from his tuft of black "I'm-on-the-dark-side-and-I'm-good-looking-and-you-darn-well-know-it!" hair to his scale-riddled snaky tail.

Awesome decs on this guy. I'm really loving the golden jewellery (especially that wicked sheen you gave it), and the big gold ring around his waist area kind of reminds me of a genie, which fits real nicely to the Arabesque cobra look he's got going on. I'm also loving the glowing details on him, those eye spots are hypnotic, and his luminous eyes sure are a fright. And let's not forget those assassin hand bandages. Their tarnished grey colour suggests he's been pretty busy in assassinating (and pretty efficiently too, considering they remain bloodless). And if he needs another extra hint that he's one bad guy? How about some killer spikes and dark-side stripes to his design!

I really like how you designed his front. It partially looks like mighty pectorals, but at the same time, like the front scales of a snake. It pretty smoothly puts him in the anthro position of being both man and beast. Let's not forget that excellently designed snake mouth and tongue!

Absolutely no subversions here on this guy. He's everything you'd expect an arbok to be, but man did you do that right. Masterfully done with this!

I technically yelled out "holy shit" as I saw this comment,
and reading through it really made me happy. That people
like him, and that all he is get's across to those not knowing
him XD I did fight a little against those Arbok hood markings, how to do them when
I had split up the middle with scales, so yey >w<
At first those bandages were white, but I changed it because it made him
look like some evil doctor, haha XD Sadly on this drawing you can't see
the arm protection on the backside of his arms.

Goodness I must say, what a beautiful design! I've always been a big fan of Arbok because I just love snakes goodness but I gotta say how gorgeous this guy is. His markings, his colours, goodness! Wonderful job!
